Homework Policy

 

1. Quantity

The school coordinates the homework load across different subjects to allow students to achieve balanced physical and mental development. Parents can check the assigned homework through the EDX app.

 

2. Homework Guidance

To cater to students’ learning needs, subject teachers will first guide them through part of the homework in class and ask them to complete the remaining part during self-study lessons or at home. The school has arranged Self-study Lessons, during which students can consult teachers when they encounter difficulties with their homework and work together to solve learning problems.

 

3. Arrangements for Special Activities and Long Holidays

a. School Special Activity Days

Students should focus only on the activity process and extend their learning through reading or data collection.

 

b. Long Holidays

To cater to the needs of parents and allow them more time to establish parent-child bonding, the school only assigns self-directed learning activities, such as reading books or collecting information.

 

4. Follow-up

a. Regular Review of the Homework Policy

In each term, the school conducts surveys with parents during parent-teacher association meetings to understand their views on the homework policy and then follows up accordingly. In addition, on each term’s Parents’ Day, the school asks parents to complete an online questionnaire to collect their opinions on homework.

 

b. Homework Feedback

Subject teachers provide diverse feedback on homework, including appreciating students’ strengths, offering suggestions or improvement methods, specifically pointing out students’ weaknesses, and providing appropriate ways to improve.
